What actually changes?
The PCH2-D keeps the same basic dreadnought recipe but substitutes laminated rosewood for laminated sapele and gives the top a gloss finish. If those differences are not important to you, the PCH1-D is the simpler and cheaper route into the PCH dreadnought range.
