The E1D and E10D Thermo-Cure are both all-solid dreadnoughts, but they sit at very different points in Eastman’s range. The E1D uses thermo-cured Sitka spruce with sapele, while the E10D moves to thermo-cured Adirondack spruce and mahogany.

The practical difference
The E10D’s higher price is tied to a more traditional premium specification: Adirondack spruce, mahogany back and sides, gloss finish and a hard case. The E1D remains all solid but is deliberately simpler and substantially less expensive.
